The ten best Aperol cocktails you’ll ever taste

Starting with the original Aperol Spritz, which we won’t leave out, these ten Aperol cocktails will be your best ally to toast during the summer.

Aperol Spritz Original

Ingredients
Equal parts of Aperol
Equal parts of Cinzano Prosecco
A squirt of soda

Garnish
Orange slice

Type of glass
Glass of wine

Preparation
Mix all the ingredients in a glass of wine with ice and mix gently. Decorate with a slice of orange.

 

Brockmans Summer Negroni

Ingredients
2 oz (60 ml) Brockmans Gin
1 oz (30 ml) Antica Formula
1 oz (30 ml) Aperol
Raspberries

Garnish
Dehydrated orange

Type of glass
Rock

Preparation
Machaca 4 raspberries in a cocktail shaker and add ice cubes with the rest of the ingredients. Shake well until it cools down. Strain twice into the rock vessel over an ice sphere. Decorate with a slice of dried orange.

 

Ten Spot

1.5 oz (45 ml) Tanqueray no. Ten gin
.5 oz (15 ml) Aperol
.5 oz (15 ml) Grapefruit
.5 oz (15 ml) lime

Type of glass
Champagne flute

Preparation
Mix ingredients with ice. It’s in the champagne flute.

 

Summer City Spritz

1.5 oz (45 ml) Banks 5 Rum Rum
.5 oz (15 ml) Aperol
.75 oz (7.5 ml) watermelon juice
.5 oz (15 ml) simple syrup
.5 oz (15 ml) lemon juice
Sparkling water

Type of glass
Glass of wine

Garnish
Mint leaves

Preparation
Combine ingredients in a glass of wine with ice and mix. Add sparkling water at the end and decorate with mint leaves.

 

Maya Bay

Ingredients
1.5 oz (45 ml) Playa Real Mandarin
.5 oz (15 ml) Agave Syrup
.75 oz (7.5 ml) Freshly squeezed lime juice
.5 oz (15 ml) Aperol

Garnish
A quarter of a lime

Rock

Preparation
Combine and shake well, pour into a double rock glass with an extra large ice cube. Decorate with lemon.

 

The Airedale

2.5 oz (75 ml) Bourbon
75 oz (7.5 ml) Aperol
1 tsp simple syrup

Garnish
Grapefruit zest

Type of glass
Rock

Preparation
Combine ingredients in a mixing glass with ice and mix for 10-15 seconds. Filter into the rock vessel over a large block of ice. Decorate with grated grapefruit.

.75 oz (7.5 ml) Aperol
.75 oz (7,5 ml) Meletti Amaro
.75 oz (7.5 ml) Lemon juice

Preparation
Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Mix with ice and strain twice into the glass.

 

MacNamara Rose

2 oz (60 ml) Knappogue Castle 12 Year Old Irish Whiskey
.75 oz (7,5 ml) Lillet Rosé
.5 oz (15 ml) Aperol
2 slices of cucumber

1 pinch Kosher salt

Garnish
Cucumber bow

Preparation

Crush the cucumber slices in a mixing glass. Add ice and other ingredients. Stir and double strain into the glass. Decorate with cucumber bow.

 

Strawberry Letter

Ingredients
.5 oz (15 ml) of Strawberry Shrub*.
1 oz (30 ml) Aperol
3 oz (90 ml) Rosé wine
1 oz (30 ml) seltzer, to taste

Garnish
4 Strawberry slices

*Strawberry Shrub: Wash 10 strawberries and cut them into quarters. Let them rest in two cups of sugar overnight and then add 2 cups of raspberry vinegar and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Add mixture to skillet until boiling and remove immediately. Let cool, filter strawberries and bottle.

Preparation
Build the ingredients -except the seltzer- in a glass of wine on the rocks. Stir to combine and decorate with 4 slices of strawberry.

A strip of bitter Cardamom

Preparation
