Whisky Live 2019 16th Edition, what you can’t miss this year
Paris hosts the 16th edition of the event around the city’s most eagerly awaited whisky. The latest novelties and innovations are presented, and not only on whisky, but also on rum and other fine spirits.
Immerse yourself in the world of whisky and fine spirits on 5, 6 and 7 October 2019. Paris will host the 16th edition of Whisky Live in the Grand Hall de la Villette. Whiskies from all over the world are honored with seminars, talks and presentations. A space dedicated to rum, plus a VIP space, Master Classes, a section dedicated to collectors and an ephemeral shop.
As a central theme, the new wave of whisky, which shows that the spirit has managed to stand out beyond Scotland. In fact, Ireland and the United States stand out in whisky along with India, Japan and Taiwan. Brands such as Kavalan (Taiwan) or Amrut (India) stand out.
New players in the medium such as the Australian distillery Hellyers Road are also highlighted in this edition. The artisanal distillery is developing new methods of ageing whisky, using barrels of wine for this purpose. These include Stauning (Denmark) and Milk & Honey (Israel).
Whisky Made in France
Whisky made in France will also play an important role. Distilleries such as Armorik, Eddu of the Breton region; Rozelieures de la Lorraine; or representing the Alps, Domaine des Hautes Glaces. La Maison Benjamin Kuentz, La Distillerie du Vercors et Bellevoye. All of them will present their latest creations during the festival.
More than whisky
Prestigious Houses of Cognac, Armagnac and Calvados will also participate during Whisky Live to highlight the tradition of quality spirits made in France.
In support of sustainability
Very importantly, the theme of sustainability will also take its place during Whisky Live. Environmentally responsible, ethical, identity-based and authentic distilleries participate during the festival, highlighting this important characteristic in a world affected by climate change.
At Whisky Live Paris, visitors will be able to taste vodkas, rums and FAIR liqueurs, the first brand to develop fair trade spirits as part of a broad social responsibility project.
The “Cocktail Street” returns in Parallel
Parallel to Whisky Live, the Cocktail Street and its fourth edition will not be missed.
Mixology and food come together in this event that receives prestigious brands from all over the world. In addition the foreign bar that will be installed ephemeral form for a few days will not be able to miss. The Food Market and food trucks will please street food lovers while 25 bars will please the crowd’s desire for cocktails.
