Today we are proud to present the ten winning bartenders of the second week of our “Confinement Bartender Contest”.

Spirits Hunters launched a contest to help bartenders from all over the world during confinement, the “Confinement Bartender Contest”.

Each week we choose 10 winners, and we will present 2 per day on our website and ou social networks Instagram (@spiritshunters_mag), Facebook.

Announcement Day 5 – Week 2

Today we announce the final two winners of the second week of the contest. Tough decision! We appreciate the efforts of all the bartenders, whether it’s the artisanal recipes or the classics.

For our ninth and tenth winners, we would like to congratulate José Luis Santizo from Guatemala and Katherine Ortiz from Spain for their confinement cocktails.

Announcement Day 4 – Week 2

Today we are announcing the seventh and eighth winners of our second week of Confinement Bartender Contest. We are happy to congratulate from Lebanon, Farouk Toutounji and Tommaso Pecchia from Italy for their confinement cocktail recipes!

50 ml gin

30 ml homemade date syrup

30 ml fresh grapefruit juice

15 ml Ginger and balsamic vinegar Shrub

22,5 ml Fresh Orange Juice

15 ml Fresh Lemon Juice

1,5 cl homemade lemon pomace

3 cl kombucha

Announcement Day 2 – Week 2

For our third and fourth winners of the second week we are happy to congratulate Euan Campbell Birkett from Scotland and Dimitris Pallis from Greece!

Cocktail: Rhubarb One

2 oz gin

1/2 oz Rhubarb Vodka

1/2 oz Triple Sec

3/4 oz Lemon Juice

1/4 oz Simple syrup

2 Dash Rhubarb Bitters

2 Dash Orange bitters

 

Dimitris Palis – Greece – Four Seasons Astir Palace’s bar

Cocktail: Jolly Sour

50ml Mandarin Vodka

25ml orange syrup*

25ml lemon juice

1 rosemary sprig

Method: Shake

Garnish: Rosemary, orange jelly

*Orange syrup 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, peel from 1 orange

 

Announcement Day 1 – Week 2

We introduce today our first and second winners of our second week of contest! We are happy to congratulate Adam Francisco Alvarado from Mexico and Romain Janot from France!

 

Adam Francisco Alvarado Magallanes – Mexico – Kitxen bar

Cocktail: Guavantina

50 ml Spiced rum

1/2 guava

50 ml homemade Orange/anise syrup

15 ml fresh lime juice

3 drops vanilla Essence

Muddle the guava, add the remaining ingredients into the shaker,  shake and pour in a rocks glass full with ice. Garnish with a slice of guava and an anise Star.

 

Romain Janot – France – Bazingame

Cocktail: KUMQUARANTINE

40 ml Gold rum

60 ml banana nectar juice

10 ml sugar cane syrup

20 ml kumquat liqueur

Garnish: strawberry
