bourbon

While bottles of bourbon are found everywhere because of its historic fame, there are bottles, as with any other spirit, that we can only get if we go to the source…

These bottles of bourbon below have not left Kentucky, and if you want them, you’ll have to go there!

Woodford Reserve Distillery Series

A bourbon sold exclusively at Woodford Reserve Versailles’ Kentucky distillery and some Kentucky retailers. The Distillery Series comprises this rye bourbon finished in custom American oak barrels. Oak, chocolate, fruitcake, and caramel complement the taste of this bourbon.

Four Roses Single Barrel Cask Strength

Highly awarded, the renowned Four Roses Single Barrel Cask Strength bourbon ranges from 9 to 11 years of age. Its taste blends nose and palate with vanilla and maple syrup, cocoa, pear, plum and cherry in a robust yet sweet body.

Old Tub Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

This whiskey bottled under the “bottled in bond” method is only available through the Jim Beam Beam American Stillhouse sub-distillery in Clermont Kentucky. Only 375 ml bottles are available and contain the precious whiskey bottled at 100 proof from a sour recipe.

Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage 23 YO

You can get this bottle in Louisville, although it is said that it can be hard to find. On the international market you may be lucky to appropriate a bottle of this award-winning bourbon at $350 or more. Twice named bourbon of the year by Jim Murray, it gives off notes of caramel, oak and lush, spicy taste, with hints of honey oak, apple and orange.

Heaven Hill 6-Year-Old Green Label

The Green Label is said to pop up from time to time, making it even harder to come by. Heaven Hill is meant to be a Kentucky-exclusive bottle and is not available even through the Heaven Hill website. Some resellers, like TotalWine, will do you the favor! The taste is apple, brown sugar, peanuts and slightly spicy.

Don’t drink and drive. Enjoy responsibly.
