One of the greatest Post-Impressionist Artists, Henri de Toulouse Lautrec stood out not only for his talented paintings, but for his love to alcohol.
Above all other types of alcohol he was a well-known lover of absinth, that he even created a cocktail based on it. Treblement de Terre – Earthquake!

He may have been a small guy, but no one could’ve survived as many Earthquakes as Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec did. The elixir, if you could call it that, was notoriously potent. His recipe had just two ingredients, neither of which was water. Be careful – this is a rather intense potion!
The Earthquake Cocktail
Ingredients:
3 parts absinthe
3 parts cognac
Instructions:
Stir cognac and absinthe in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass; garnish with a lemon twist.
As simple as this! Enjoy!
Regrettably, Henri de Toulouse Lautrec died at the age 37 of because of alcoholism.
