The brewing group declared after publishing its quarterly results to face difficulties since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis.

Due to its presence in out-of-home consumption channels, events and festivals, the group is facing “a significant impact of Covid-19 in Belgium”. This is the opinion of Fabio Sala, President of the Belgium-Netherlands, France and Luxembourg area. “As new restrictions on out-of-home consumption will be adopted, our outlook for 4Q20 remains cautious.

Despite the fragile situation of AB Inbev and other brewers, sales and volumes rose.

In the face of the pandemic and measures to combat it, AB Inbev is investing in its digital capabilities. They will digitize the relationship with their clients and invest in online sales platforms.

In Belgium, this translates into the launch of an application for Jupiler beer. Through it, they will make contactless in cafeterias and a web store. The dividend proposal for the entire year 2020 will be announced together with the results of the 2020 financial year on February 25, 2021.
