Through this first-of-its-kind collaboration, the Angels’ Share fragrance gets a new bottle design. Montana told WWD.com, “I’ve always worn Kilian’s fragrances, he’s one of the finest luxury brands in the world with a very exquisite level of taste, so it was only logical for us to team up to make history.

Montana explained that one of the things that excited him most about the project is how collaborative it was and that he was involved in all the creative elements.

The limited edition Angels’ Share by Kilian – French Montana has a gold disc on its cover, reminiscent of an LP record, with chains engraved on it making a nod to Montana’s chains.

Montana added that he likes fragrances that are sophisticated, fresh and clean, but also complex and unique.

This fragrance is just that,” she explained referring to the perfume. “It’s just the right scent for a night on the town or stepping onto the red carpet.”

The Kilian Paris founder said “My Hennessy family name was always linked to American hip-hop culture.” He added that a variety of songs in rap refer to the Hennessy brand, or “Henney” as a diminutive.

Montana, for his part, was bringing a bottle of Hennessy to the recording studio from the beginning.

It was 14 years before Kilian Hennessy created a cognac-inspired fragrance and the result was Angels’ Share. The perfume was launched in the fall of 2020 and is Kilian Paris’ third best-selling perfume, and continues to sell out.

I wanted my Angels’ Share perfume to be as intertwined, as linked to hip-hop culture [as cognac],” Hennessy said.

Von Unwerth was invited to visually record one of the working sessions between Hennessy and Montana, in Miami, for broadcast on social media.

Speaking of Montana, Hennessy said, “I found someone very authentic, playful and very enthusiastic about the collaboration.”

In the U.S., the limited-edition bottle will launch on sephora.com on October 5 and bykilian.com on October 6, before hitting other countries.

Clips of French and Hennessy will be posted on bykilian.com on October 6, and then on Kilian Paris’ Instagram page, @kilianparis, starting October 16.
