ballantine and beefeater light

Pernod Ricard launches versions of Ballantine’s whisky and Beefeater gin with 20º less alcohol.

Pernod Ricard is continuing its mission in Spain to get in on the trend of drinking less but better. Ballantine’s Light 20 proof and Beefeater Light versions are now available in Spain. Both contain an alcohol content of 20% versus 40% for the classic versions. This is a Pernod Ricard strategy aimed at conquering the non-alcoholic market. Although they contain a considerable level of alcohol, but allow conscious consumption without compromising taste, they are part of the “nolo” trend (no & low alcohol). This trend is very present at the moment, especially on the occasion of Dry January.

Our teams have worked hard to create drinks that allow conscious consumption without compromising on taste and to offer gin and scotch enthusiasts a new way to take advantage of the Ballantine’s and Beefeater experience.” Said Jean-Christophe Couture, director of Chivas Brothers, the Pernod Ricard subsidiary in charge of producing both novelties.

Both will be available from February in 70cl format.

Don’t drink and drive. Enjoy responsibly.
