Chivas finances with $1 million dollars the creation of social enterprises

Thanks to the Chivas Venture 2020 event, Chivas will distribute $1 million in funding. This is the sixth year the event has been held and it will unrestrictedly finance emerging social enterprises. The criteria, which combine benefits and purposes to produce a positive impact on the world.

Chivas Venture will offer both training and funding and exposure on a global scale to the finalists. The company has achieved through the 5 million donated in funding in recent years, benefiting more than two million people to date.

“To date, Chivas Venture finalists have supplied more than 34 million litres of drinking water. They have recycled more than 1,300 tonnes of waste and given 75,000 days of training to women and girls. To name but a few of their many achievements. Therefore, through Chivas Venture, we want to continue to leverage the capacity of goal-oriented innovators around the world and help accelerate their impact. Explains Jean-Christophe Coutures, President and CEO of Chivas Brothers, the parent company of Chivas.

Before the final of Chivas Venture, the winning finalist from each participating country will compete for a share of the funding. They will be selected through an initial round of public voting. Each finalist will compete in the World Final for the remainder of the one million dollars.

Today, Chivas Venture plays a central role in Pernod Ricard’s Sustainability and Responsibility 2030 roadmap, an ambitious set of environmental and social objectives that support the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, and is aligned in four key areas: nutrient soil, people recognition, circular manufacturing and responsible accommodation.
