The 30 best bars will be chosen from 100 participants. A jury of more than 200 bar enthusiasts, industry experts, connoisseurs and writers will vote for the bars. The event will be hosted by the Tulleeho website and MW magazine.
The bars will be awarded in different categories: Best Bar; the Best Hotel Bar; Best Independent Bar; the Best Microbrewery or Taproom, Best Cocktail Menu; Best Bar Design; Best Bar Team and Best Bartender.
The event will cover bars from at least a dozen cities and regions of India. These include Delhi NCR, Chandigarth, Jaipur, Kolkata, Shillong, Mumbai, Pune, Goa, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kochi.
It is an excellent opportunity to extol the Indian cocktail and bar scene. According to Vikram Achanta, CEO of Vikram and Tulleeho, “We believe it is an opportune time to create a platform that we hope will, within a few years, help drive the industry’s growth even further and place India’s bars and bartenders on the Asian and global map“.
The awards ceremony will take place on 23 October. It will “showcase, recognize and celebrate the best of India’s cocktail and bar industry“. According to a statement from Tulleeho.
