dante bar

The bar named Best Bar in the World in Tales of The Cocktail, Spirited Awards, announced plans to open a branch.

Located in Greenwich Village, Dante reinvented the neighborhood bar and a style of Italian cocktails. After the success of this first branch, its owners, Linden Pride and Nathalie Hudson, bet on Dante West Village. The new location will focus on a theme based in the Spanish Basque Country.

Pride told The New York Times, “A lot of inspiration comes from those incredible grills in San Sebastian “. And to make the Spanish atmosphere more concrete, the West Village kitchen will be led by chef Angel Fernandez. The Chilean chef worked at Rosetta Ristorante in Melbourne.

On the other hand, the cocktail menu will highlight the Martini and Spritz and their different ways of serving from different techniques.

As for the structure, it will be bigger than the current Dante. There will be more space with 75 seats, including 16 in the L-shaped bar.

Dante West Village will open in October and its website is already online.
