With several spirits brands joining the NFT marketplace, Glenfiddich will now launch 200 limited edition NFTs on BlockBar.com.

BlockBar.com is the first NFT (non-fungible token) DTC marketplace for wines and spirits. They connect customers and collectors with business owners of luxury wines and spirits, such as Patron’s NFT tequila. Back in October last year, Glenfiddich, the single malt Scotch whisky brand, launched a series of 15 NFT limited edition spirits.

With the NFT, Glenfiddich celebrates the Year of the Tiger of the Chinese New Year with a royal bottle of Glenfiddich Grand Reserve 21 Year Old. This edition features flavors of ginger, fig, lime and banana, as well as a lively warmth of spicy caramel. It is possible to redeem the NFT for the Glenfiddich Gran Reserva.

An NFT, which stands for non-fungible token, is a unique unit of data employing technology that allows digital content—from videos to songs to images—to become logged and authenticated on cryptocurrency blockchainsartnews.com
.

This new initiative will connect customers and collectors with the owners of luxury wine and spirits businesses, as did Patron’s NFT tequila, and other brands that have jumped into this dynamic such as Hennessy cognac.

Users can keep the NFT, as they are one of 200 individuals who have this special NFT, or they can sell it. It can also be resold on BlockBar.com or exchanged for a real bottle as proposed by Glenfiddich.

After purchasing their Glenfiddich NFT, the buyer will be able to access more benefits of this collection. The buyer has access to exclusive content such as a JPEG of Rlon Wang’s complete artwork, individual digital drawings of the icons that make up the overall design, and a GIF of a Golden Stag that can be used to gain early access to Glenfiddich’s next release.
