The annual reward Restaurant & Bar Design Awards has presented the finalist for its 2020 edition: The best designed bars in the world in all regions.

After receiving 1072 entries from 66 countries across 33 categories, 248 projects resulted to be in a shortlist of awarded spaces. You can view the whole Shortlist HERE.

Below you will find six USA bars among those nominated in the category “North America bars”.

 

  1. The Edith Champagne Lounge (Century City, USA) designed by The Johnson Studio

The Edith is a time capsule of a lounge that recalls the private, decadent life of Hollywood’s yesteryear. The place stocks more than 100 different labels of Champagne alone, and sports an ambiance to match: floor-to-ceiling shimmering curtains, a baby grand piano, and mirrors, wood and leather that feel transported from a previous decade.

2.     Lamia’s Fish Market (New York, USA) designed by Aviva Collective

Lamia’s Fish Market, a Fresh New Mediterranean Restaurant and Raw Bar from Lamia Funti, Ready to Lure You to the Heart of the East Village. The over-the-top design of Lamia’s Fish Market makes it feel like part sea grotto, part submarine and part yacht.

3.     Loch Bar (Houston, USA) designed by Patrick Sutton

Located in Houston’s exclusive River Oaks District, Loch Bar is a classic seafood tavern featuring one of the area’s largest raw bar and seafood menus. The food menu is complemented by a wide selection of local craft beer, handcrafted cocktails and one of Texas’ most substantial whiskey lists. Loch Bar also features live music 7 days a week!

4.     The Commodor at The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, Miami (Miami, USA) designed by Bill Rooney Studio

The Commodore Cocktail Club, named after Coconut Grove’s Ralph Middleton Munroe (an early settler of Coconut Grove), is a classic cocktail bar with live music and craft cocktails that tell a story. Located at The Ritz Carlton on the lobby level with an indoor bar and outdoor terrace.

5.     Mariel Underground (Boston, USA) designed by Designed In-House

Mariel is a lavish tribute to pre-revolutionary Havana, from the curated collection of rum bottles that sit behind the bar to the murals depicting life in the Cuban capital. The restaurant is situated within a former bank building, with windows that overlook the square.

6.     The Garden Room at The St. Regis Atlanta(Atlanta, USA) designed by The Johnson Studio

An immersive garden bar and dining experience, is an enchanted escape welcoming in its beauty and appealing through its casual approach.

The breathtaking, lush garden plantings are layered to create a relaxed and stylish ambiance that reveal new secrets over time.
