During the confinement by Covid-19 many employees are having difficulties. In Georgia, this bar owner handed out $3700 to her employees.

The crisis in the catering industry has left many bartenders and waiters unemployed. Jennifer Knox, owner of the Tybee Island Bar in Georgia knows this very well. That’s why she decided to tear out bills that her visitors have left behind on the bar’s walls over time. In total, she collected $3,700 which she distributed to her employees.

Knoox wrote on Facebook: “The Sand Bar will have a new look, while giving something back! We’re tearing down the dollar bills! And donating the money to our bartenders and the musicians who need it!”

Along with five volunteers, Knox personally collected the tickets. According to a CNN report, he managed to raise the sum of $3,714. In addition to donations by Venmo, The Sand Bar was able to give its staff $4,014 ($600 each, that is, two musicians and four bartenders).
