The 15th edition of Whisky Live Paris, which took place from 22 to 24 September at the Cité de la Mode et du Design, was once again a great success. This event, which has been present in the French capital since 2004, has seen its number of exhibitors and visitors increase to such an extent that it has now become the largest tasting event in Europe.

This show, originally dedicated to the tasting and discovery of whisky from all over the world, this year offered about fifteen Masterclasses (lasting from 30 to 45 minutes) during which various great names in whisky, such as Tadashi Sakuma ambassador Nikka Whisky, Andrew Symington –Edradour Distillery– or Nicolas Julhès, shared their knowledge and skills with a large number of listeners.

Every year many distilleries await this event to unveil their major new products in preview, such as the Chivas Regal brand, which presents its new 15-year-old whisky “Chivas XV”, or the Glenfiddich brand, which took advantage of the show to show the “Fire&Cane” cuvée at 43°.

But the great innovation was the creation of the Rhum gallery. This new 1,000 m2 tasting space was able to accommodate more than 50 influential rum brands from all over the world and also offered 15 free and specific rum masterclasses. This is something to delight visitors who were able to learn more about both whisky and rum.
