We can’t get enough of the special editions for whisky ! And the Macallan brand has done well, it even encourages dependence with its “surrealist interpretation” signed by The Macallan’s Six Pillars.
Nicknamed Macallan Concept Number 1, its clever packaging will distinguish it from your entire whisky collection.
This is the first time that Macallans have undergone a double maturation – first in sherry barrels, then in old bourbon barrels, for an equivalent period of time. The tasting notes describe a mixture of citrus fruits and ginger. Fermentation is long and distillation is slow to create a rich and concentrated distillate, of which only 16% is selected to be aged in barrels of rare quality.
Throughout the month of January, Concept Number 1 will only be sold in duty-free shops at Changi Airport in Singapore. It will then be available at selected airports in the Asian region. The duty-free price is S$170, which is equivalent to 110 euros.
