The American brewery Yuengling is run by a father and his four daughters. A brewery steeped in history, still alive, six generations later.

190 years later Dick Yuengling and his daughters continue the legacy of Yuengling Beer. It is the oldest brewery in the United States that has witnessed the country’s economic changes, the era of Prohibition, the two world wars and more. In other words, they have been functional for almost two centuries.

Jen, one of the Yuengling sisters, says in an interview with CNBC: “We grew up in the 1970s and early 1980s, so we went through some years of discharge. We didn’t really begin to see a leap in our production until the mid-1990s, which was when we left college and the right time to start our careers in business.

Yuengling beer is best known for its lager, light lager, black and tan beers. They recently launched Golden Pilsner, an opportunity to break the ups and downs of the wine and spirits market. It is a lighter and refreshing beer, with an alcoholic grade of 4.7ABV and 135 calories per serving. Wendy Yuengling comments on Golden Pilsner: “Everyone knows Yuengling from our beer, our light beer, and our black and tan. This is a beer that caters to a refreshment space.”

The market is not monopolized only by wines and spirits, there is a growing market in the artisanal beer sector and Yuengling is also developing strategies for the present and for the future. Last year the company distributed 2.2 million barrels to different states in the country.

Yuengling brewery has beers for all occasions, and this without a doubt, since we are talking about a brewery with almost two centuries of experience.
