whisky museum

Buenos Aires has an emblematic Whisky Museum. Yes! founded by Miguel Ángel Reigosa, it has a collection of 3 150 bottles. Discover it.

He is a former combatant of Malvinas, an expert in whisky and president of Whisky Malt Argentina, the founder of this museum. The Whisky Museum in Buenos Aires has the largest private collection of this drink in the world. Indeed, it has more than 3,000 bottles, precisely 3,150. They have never been opened, there are from all brands and distilleries in the world. One of the most outstanding is the Royal Salute 62 years, which Reigosa received as a guest of Buckingham Palace on the birthday of the Queen of England. Among others, we find the bottle of the inaugural flight of the Concorde (Air France).

Reigosa says thatit was a madness that I started collecting when I was 14, I was the owner of a café and now I am fighting for my life’s dream. I’m 200 bottles short of the Edinburgh Museum.”

At the museum, blended and single malt whiskies are the stars of the bar display where you can taste whiskies of various brands. You can taste private flights. “When you arrive at the museum you can choose to fly from one area to the other using the whisky. Besides, there is a restaurant for the public“.

The museum has more bottles than the museum of Valetino Zagatti (Italian collector), which opened its doors in 2018 in the city of Sassenheim, Netherlands, and exhibits 2951 bottles. 97% of its whiskies are Scottish whiskies.
