Discover these five whiskies made by women

Here’s an exclusive shortlist of five whiskies made by women.

Brenne French Single Malt

Allison Parc. Her obsession with French whisky and French food led Allison to create Brenne, a whisky aged in cognac barrels, with fruity tones and the crunchy layer of crème brulée.

Catskill Provisions New York Honey Rye

Claire Marin. Claire’s been mixing rye whiskey on site for three years. She is currently starting her own distillation operation. This rye whisky is best tasted with a dash of amaro, and a touch of orange at the end of a long day.

Skrewball Peanut Butter

Brittany Merrill Yeng. Skewball was founded by Yeng and her husband. This whisky is the result of Brittany’s biochemistry studies, figuring out how to meld peanut butter with alcohol. The result is fantastic, a peanut flavour, without creaminess or crunchiness. Winner of a Gold Medal at the New York World Wine and Spirits Competition!

Old Dominick Distillery Huling Station

Alex Castle. Castle, not the owner of the distillery, is however, the master distiller of Old Dominick! In addition to being the first female master distiller in the state of Tennessee.  In nose it has many spices, some notes of black fruits, besides caramel and vanilla.

Republic Restoratives Rodham Rye

Pia Carusone. Pia is the founder of Republic Restoratives, a whiskey inspired by women. Rodham has a lower mash peak than most rye, so it’s not so spicy.
