The 2020 edition of Bowmore 30 will feature only 2580 bottles, so don’t hesitate to make this bottle of whisky a gift for someone special. Bowmore 30 is inspired by the territory surrounding the distillery and the landscape that defines its whisky. In turn, the whisky captures the art of time and is inspired by the relief of driftwood and the refined polish of sea glass, reflecting its eternal link with the island of Islay.
This whisky distilled in 1989 is mainly special and rare. It spent 30 years of meticulous ageing in the best sherry and bourbon barrels. It is bottled raw from the barrel at 45.3 %. This 30 year old pays tribute to the rich, fruity and subtle peated style of Bowmore.
At sight its natural honed gold color and in the nose we will detect aromas of heather, banana, peach, watermelon, vanilla and butterscotch. On the palate, tropical fruit flavors and the smoothness of honey combine with a very subtle peat smoke and notes of eucalyptus. All these flavors evolve to create a warm and persistent finish.
