Ivan Arana: Mexico
2 – How long have you been a bartender?
Bartender for 4 years.
3 – What brought you to the world of bartending / what inspired you to become a bartender?
Originally I started in high school making cocktails for my friends at the parties. Then it turned to being something I really love.
4 – What have you discovered about yourself being a bartender?
Patience and constance, I think bartending teaches this two values.
5 – How is the situation in your city/country regarding Covid?
People are still afraid to go out, and others just don’t care, so the situation is kind of complex.
6 – What inspired you to make the video you’ve sent us for the Confinement Bartender Contest?
I was inspired due to the situation and got my crafting brain to work on a recipe that would bring me back to my high school summer memories.
7 – Is your bar open today?
I don’t work at my previous bar anymore.
