The renowned bartender shared with Spirits Hunters his recipe for the classic Bee’s Knees cocktail.
Juan Coronado, an 18+ year veteran of the food and wine industry, started out surrounded by Champagne as a sommelier at Bubble Lounge in New York and San Francisco. He shared his knowledge beyond the lounge, teaching Champagne 101 classes for The New York Times.
Bee’s Knees by @juaningaround
60 ml of Bees Wax Gin
7.5 ml Truffle Honey
15 ml of honey syrup
30 ml of lemon
Tools: cocktail shaker, strainer, double strainer
Type of glass: cocktail glass
Garnish: bee jelly
Method: shake the ingredients vigorously with lots of ice. With the glass previously chilled, double strain the contents of the cocktail shaker into the glass. Twist a strand of lemon peel over the surface of the cocktail and garnish with gypsophila.
Do not drive under the influence of alcohol. Consume in moderation.
