Ernest Hemingway loved his classic mojitos. Indeed, the mojito à la “Hemingway” is only the original version of this cocktail that makes us dream and think of beaches. Here’s the perfect mojito recipe. Via Esquire.

During his years in Cuba, Hemingway enjoyed Mojito glasses with the original recipe, which he normally took at the bar La Bodeguita del Medio.

Perfect Mojito Recipe

Ingredients

60 ml white rum

15 ml lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

1 teaspoon extra fine sugar

3 mint leaves

Club Soda or Seltzer

Glass: Collins small

In a small Collins glass, mix the lime juice with 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of super fine sugar. Add the mint leaves by crushing them against the side of the glass. Fill the glass 2/3 with cracked ice and pour in the rum. Add the pressed lime shell and add club soda or seltzer.
