The former journalist has promoted the art of cocktails in Paris. Today, Enguerrand proposes “Le Denver”, a fresh cocktail based on vodka and lemon. Via TimeOut.

This cocktail is an excellent choice for the beautiful days that spring brings. With its fresh hints of lemon, and its special touch with tarragon syrup. And for those who don’t drink alcohol, Enguerrand reminds us that “it lends itself well without alcohol anyway!”

Ingredients

4 cl of vodka

1 cl of tarragon syrup Ingredients: 20 g fresh tarragon, 5 cl water, 50 g sugar.

2.5 cl yellow lemon (half a lemon)

1 handful of fresh coriander (about ten leaves)

8 cl of sparkling water

6 ice cubes

Preparation

First we must prepare the tarragon syrup. In a pot, heat the water and sugar and add the tarragon, which has been stripped of its leaves. Boil for 10 minutes at medium heat. Turn off the heat and cover the pot. Leave to cool for several hours, and filter to separate the tarragon leaves and save the syrup.

Add the vodka, syrup and lemon juice in a shaker (if you don’t have any, use a jar of jam).

Add the fresh coriander and the 6 ice cubes.

Shake vigorously to squeeze the coriander into the shaker.

Add the cocktail in a glass (preferably highball) and some sparkling water.

Enjoy!

Don’t drink and drive. Enjoy responsibly.
