Artists are very involved in the world of spirits, and it’s Kate Hudson’s turn to release a vodka. We did a little more research. Via AFP.

The American actress is the next star after Sarah Jessica Parker (wine), Drew Barrymore (wine), Ryan Reynolds (gin) and Drake (champagne). Other actors like The Rock and George Clooney produce tequila.

The vodka, King St. Vodka, takes its name in honor of the actress’s former home in New York. Here the actress used to have dinner and cocktail parties.

This vodka is made in Santa Barbara and the spirit is distilled seven times. In addition to being gluten-free, it uses alkaline water. That’s why the vodka is limpid, mild in taste with a hint of vanilla.

For Hudson, the spirits industry is fascinating, she says. “I love Dirty Vodka Martinis. “My creative side thought it would be a fun challenge to develop a vodka for my palate, and with a beautiful package that I would love to have in my bar to share with my friends. The business person in me is waiting for the challenge of building a brand in a whole new industry“.

We already know other actors who have joined the adventure of producing spirits, in addition to those mentioned above. But this will be a challenge for Hudson, for competing with Channing Tatum’s “Born and Bred” vodka maracs.

King St. Vodka is available retail at $24.99.
