The Gin Fizz Cocktail

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces of gin
  • ¾ ounce lemon juice
  • ¾ ounce simple syrup
  • ¾ ounce egg whites
  • Club soda
  • Lemon peel for decoration

Mix the gin, the lemon juice, simple syrup and the egg whites with no ice in the cocktail shaker. Dry shake for at least 1 minute to well mix the egg whites. Successively add ice into the shaker and shake right after. Next, pour the mix into a Collins glass over some ice and top with Club soda. Then, stir carefully before you add the lemon peel to decorate your glass. Final step, enjoy your refreshing cocktail. Voila!

Gin Barrel Fizz

As a side note, the Gin Barrel Fizz is a seasonal beer inspired by the Gin Fizz cocktail. It is aged in an old gin barrel and brewed with juniper berries which leaves a fruity flavor on it. It is originally from the Hi-Wire Brewing from Ashville, NC. It is served with orange or grapefruit peel to keep up its original presentation.
