A city of fun and several bars, Dubai’s Fusion Club bar gives women free drinks according to their weight.
Women who attend this four-star Cassels Al Barsha hotel bar are weighed before entering. Then, they write down their weight on a piece of paper. In this way, they can exchange one Dirham ($0.36) per kilo of weight. Then a woman of 150 pounds can receive about 25 dollars.
The Fusion Club bar created this offer as part of its campaign to promote the bar. In addition, it aims to highlight the bar that before, offered three free drinks to women between 30 and 40 years. It is a strategy that also aims at fun and for which no one should feel pressured. Explains Anil Kumar, head of drinks and meals at the hotel.
“We shouldn’t take everything seriously,” says Kumar, “Dubai is a city of fun. We never ask women about weight. We trust what they write on the paper, no questions asked.”
