This Armagnac brand created by Vincent Cornu and his friends Christelle and Frédéric continues its development. The brand has been building its reputation. In November 2020, they won a great gold medal at the Spirits Selection liqueur competition in Belgium for their 2005 Domaine Lous Pibous millésime.

With a strong presence in La Maison du Whisky, the French online store par excellence, 70% of L’Encantada’s armagnacs are now sold abroad.

Vincent admits that his eaux-de-vie “don’t necessarily correspond to people who are new” to the Gascon liquor. But he is convinced that “we can bring Armagnac to spirits consumers who have not yet known this rich little vineyard, necessarily new to them. Because the spirits lover loves all spirits.” In fact with the creation of GNAC XO, they target younger consumers interested in cocktails. GNAC XO is the product of a subtle blend of bas armagnac. Of this blend, some aged 20 and 30 years in black oak barrels from Gascony.

Reinventing and experimenting

For Vincent, it is important to reinvent himself and find new ways to experiment. “Propose different armagnacs without separating from the roots or the soul of the product.” Two years ago he bought two hectares of vineyard in Labastide d’Armagnac. He works these new lands according to agroforestry rules. There, he plants trees, and is an expert in planting cover crops. Next year he will see the first fruits of his folle blanche and baco vines.

You can also find l’Encantada products in France in the physical store. Installed in the cellar located in Viz-Fresnac, here they welcome enthusiasts, customers, friends. To begin, a tasting to discover typical flavors, some of which are often different.
