The Canadian Whisky Awards 2019 ceremony announced its winners at the 14th annual Canadian Whisky Awards.

The undisputed winner was Forty Creek’s 22-year Rye, an all-rye whisky distilled 22 years ago in Grimsby, Ontario. A whisky of Canadian tradition, created in 1992 by John K. Hall, an experienced industry figure for more than four decades.

The selection was made by ten judges who tasted a selection of whisky blindly, scoring out of ten. To choose the winner a final calculation of average is carried out.

The chairman of the jury, David de Kergommeaux described Forty Creek’s 22 year Rye as “a huge, yet elegant, rye whisky, just bursting with complex flavors.
