Laila McQueen, from the eighth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race now has a Mimosa cocktail in her name, the Laila McQueen cocktail created by Madeleine MacDonald. EatNorth has reported.

Mimosa’s recipe was reinvented by barmaid Madeleine MacDonald, director of the Calcutta Cricket restaurant bar and food and beverage service instructor. Also a winner of the White Hat Awards, awards that celebrate the inspiration of Calgarians in the tourism industry and go beyond and strive to make the experience of their guests memorable.

The cocktail was presented during Calgary Pride, at the Drags Benny event in which Laila McQueen participated. During this season gay pride is celebrated.

Ingredients (recipe by and from Madeleine MacDonald via EatNorth)

1 oz. Eau Claire Parlour Gin
1/2 oz. fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz. simple syrup
1/2 oz. raspberry purée or muddled raspberries
2 dashes Scrappy’s lavender bitters
4 to 6 oz. dry sparkling white wine, to top.
