Pernod Ricard raises awareness among students with the Responsible Party program

The “Responsible Party” program conducted in 38 countries raises student awareness of alcohol consumption at student parties.

Through its partnership with the Erasmus Student Network (ESN), Pernod Ricard is conducting a campaign to raise awareness among students about alcohol consumption at parties. To date, they have been able to raise awareness among more than 450 000 students in 38 countries.

“Responsible Party” fights binge drinking, a common behavior at student parties while aiming to reduce alcohol-related risks.

Pernod Ricard’s goal is to raise awareness among one million students worldwide by 2030. After its success last year, the French giant and world number two in the alcoholic beverage industry renewed its program with ESN.

Renewing our partnership with Erasmus represents for me an essential stage in our policy of promoting responsible consumption. In the current circumstances we cannot celebrate as we should, but I am convinced that the creative digital alternatives that we have developed alongside Erasmus will reach a large number of young people. I’m proud that programs like ‘Responsible Party’ and the new ‘Sharing Good Vibes’ campaign promote responsible behaviors and lifestyles in a convivial way.” Said Alexandre Ricard, Chairman and CEO of Pernod Ricard.

Responsible Party is a project is run across Europe with more than 174,000 students participating to date. Using the peer-to-peer approach student ambassadors are organizing activities during parties in a fun and engaging way with the aim to raise awareness about the health effects of alcohol consumption.
