In the rest of the world

In Canada, especially Toronto, some bars are closed indefinitely as the city is at the point of moving to phase 2. Some bars have decided to close their doors and beyond the cases of Covid-19 that impact the business, the restrictions also affect them.

We chose to close because of the disturbing increase in cases of Covid-19 in the city. Our priority has always been the health, safety and enjoyment of our staff and guests, so given the current climate, it only made sense for us to close indefinitely,” says Max Morin of Godspeed Brewery, according to Blogto.com.

In Kenya, cases of coronavirus are on the decline. Since Monday, September 28th, the reopening of bars and restaurants was announced, authorizing them to sell alcohol. However, they must respect an obligatory closing at 22h00. The bars, closed since March, were quickly dedicated to the sale of food to take advantage of the authorizations issued to the restaurants. They were allowed to serve alcohol with meals. In July, President Uhuru Kenyatta banned the sale of alcohol in restaurants, reiterating the “brutal rise” of pollution. It is young people who tend to gather in places where drinks are sold.

Now the country is in a period of low contamination of the virus after passing the peak in July and August.
