2020 New York State Distilled Spirits Competition: conoce los ganadores
El reconocido evento estadounidense ya había atrasado la competencia por causa covid-19 adoptando un nuevo formato para los premios.
Los premios 2020 New York State Distilled Spirits Competition recompensa lo mejor de Nueva York en materia de espirituosos y vinos. La Competencia Internacional New York State Distilled Spirits Competition fue la primera competencia fundada en la Serie de Competencias Internacionales de Bebidas (International Competition Series).
Este año la competencia llevada a cabo de manera virtual, reconoció a Saint Lawrence Spirits con el título de New York State Distillery of the Year (destilería estatal del año). La destilería originaria de Clayton acumuló la mayor cantidad de puntos en todas las categorías en la competencia de este año.
Además, la destilería ganó el mejor premio individual: el Governor’s Cup, por su bourbon Captain’s Flask Bourbon.
Saint Lawrence Spirits es una destilería con sala de degustación, restaurante de la granja-a-la-mesa, y hotel boutique ubicada en una mansión sobre el río Saint Lawrence. También tienen una sala de degustación en 510 Riverside Drive en la ciudad de Clayton. Se destacan por producir vodka, cuatro tipos de ginebra y tres tipos de absenta, así como moonshine, bourbon y otros whiskeys y un Empire Cream.
En la categoría de absenta, un espirituoso bastante inusual para los productores neoyorquinos, Saint Lawrence barrió las tres medallas: oro, plata y bronce. También barrió en la categoría de Corn Moonshine.
