Cocktail of the day: The Agroni, a cocktail based on agave Mean Mule Distilling
A tequila version of Negroni is unthinkable… or not. In the middle of the centenary of the classic Italian cocktail, the distillery Mean Mule Distilling creates The Agroni, a version based on their blue agave spirit.
Changing the rules: a negroni based on tequila
Mean Mule Distilling presents this version of the Negroni at its East Crossroads bar in Kansas City. Here they propose original creations of artisan cocktails including a flight of spirits for tasting. April Flemming describes the Agroni cocktail as “exceptionally light and drinkable, and a great excuse to venture into this spot“.
The Agroni includes in its recipe agave (tequila not made in Mexico), vermouth Routin for a herbal touch and sweetness and Luxardo Bitter Bianco for the aroma.
