New Orleans. The Spirited Awards of Tales of the Cocktail present the top 10 regional awards
Until now, the mechanics were quite simple: for each category of its annual awards, Tales of the Cocktail announced a top 10 overall (and national for the United States) which was then reduced to a top 4. At the ceremony, the winners were finally announced.
Faced with the outrageous domination of London internationally and of the largest cities at the American level, this year’s gala was accompanied by a novelty. For the first time, the organization revealed top 10 continental (regional for the United States). An intelligent way of underlining the extent to which the present of the cocktail is played out today even in peripheral localities. Thus Rome (Jerry Thomas Speakeays, La Botticella, Divine Ostilia), Stockholm (Tjoget/Linje Tio), Gran Canaria (Atelier Cocktail Bar), Cartagena (El Baron), Sao Paulo (Guilhotina), Rio (Nosso) and even Caracas (Juan Sebastian Bar) break through. We hope to find one or the other in the global top 10 of 2019.
