With 260 years Guinness beer celebrates its birthday
260 years are celebrated! The Irish beer brand Guinness birthday 260 years this 2019, two and a half centuries.
With a presence since 1759, Guinness has enchanted tasters from all over the world with its characteristic black beer. Founded by Arthur Guinness in 1725, its premises were officially installed in 1759 in Ireland under a 9,000 year contract. Unusual. Today they have 5 official breweries in five countries: Ireland, Malaysia, Nigeria, Ghana and Cameroon.
Through time Guinness has known how to reinvent itself, today they have 12 varieties of beer including IPA, Lager and blondes.
Thanks to its long history, Guinness offers beer fans a museum where you can discover everything about the brewing process and, of course, the tasting.
The brewery does not stop innovating. Currently the brewery announced that it would stop using plastic in all its packaging. Instead they will use 100% recyclable and biodegradable cardboard. This contribution to the community adds to their ecological attitude. In St.James Guinness has one of the most sustainable breweries.
Don’t drink and drive. Enjoy responsibly.
