France. Nikka from the barrel

Made by Masataka Taketsuru, NIKKA from the Barrel whiskey is famous in France and remains the best-selling whiskey in Europe.

The famous producer, Masataka Taketsuru, was first employed by Settsu Shuzo to produce the first Japanese whiskey. During a trip to Scotland, he meets Rita, his wife who will encourage him to create his own distillery. This first company leads to the production of a particularly powerful and spicy whiskey, due to the high heating temperature to which it is subjected. In 1969, another distillery is created. This time, he uses steam to heat the stills, which gives the whiskey a more subtle taste and aromas much more pronounced.

This whiskey keeps a touch of both distilleries. This explains its composition at 40% malt and 60% grain whiskey. It is made using a low-tech technique to perfect its taste. In addition, this whiskey is a mixture of hundreds of others. The two distilleries from which it comes act on several parameters, depending on the casks used and the aging time to create a single note. With a reasonable alcohol content, it is designed to best deliver its fruity aromas. This bestseller is offered to you with its orange colour, sublimated in an elegant bottle.
