In this hotel the drinks in the mini-bar cost $2!

We never leave the hotel without remorse or without being tempted by the mini bar, and is that they are usually expensive. But in this hotel, the drinks in the mini bar cost $2!

So says Amanda Kludt, editor of Eater.com, in her experience at the Carpenter Hotel in Texas, a new boutique hotel founded by the former co-owner of the Ace Hotel group.

$2 for all the drinks? $3 for all the snacks? It made me realize that sometimes the most hospitable thing a place can do is not to gouge its captive audience.” Kludt is not wrong. Certainly we left our hotel with the idea that we had a mini bar to consume some refreshment but unfortunately the exorbitant prices prevent us from giving ourselves such a treat, precisely because it is so unfair.

While the main prices for soft drinks in general, water, sparkling water or coffee are set at a price of $2, the rest of the drink still has a reasonable price compared to the average.

The Carpenter Hotel in Texas awaits you at your next stop in the city at 400 Josephine St, Austin, TX 78704, United States.

Don’t drink and drive. Enjoy responsibly.
