The Mexican group Becle, which produces Jose Cuervo reports an annual increase in sales.

Growth in stern

Becle’s super premium tequila brand Jose Cuervo boosts sales by 12.5%. In the last nine months, through September 30, sales reached 7 million pesos (US$366,000).

Total sales volume increased 6.8% to 5.3 million nine-liter cases. The Mexican group states that this is due to “strong depletion trends in each region and increased volume in each product category“.

This is a stable and positive situation for the group, as they state: “it continues to outperform the broader spirits category. And the company remains well positioned with strong brands in high-growth categories“.

Without a doubt, as EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) increased 31.5% to $1.3 million pesos (US$68,000).

Total net sales in Mexico increased 15%, thanks to a strong growth in volume of super permium tequila brands. On the other hand, the United States and Canada enjoyed a 10% net increase in sales. In the rest of the world, they rose 19.7%.

Jose Cuervo, undisputed leader

Among the group’s individual brands is Jose Cuervo Tequila. It represents total net sales of 34.6% for the first nine months of the year. And its sales increased 22%.

The rest of Becle’s brands represent 26.8% of total net sales, and saw an increase of 21.1%.
