A real booming for the exports of cognac

The sector of cognac is performing very well. It is now four years running that cognac records positive data as for the exports and as for the sales. In terms of proportions we have 5, 4 % in value and 8, 2 % in volume. If one takes into account the number of exported bottles which amounts to almost 206 million, we are faced with an unprecedented situation.

To explain those figures, mention may be made of the renewed interest of country as China or the United States for the cognac. Moreover, it is the country of the Uncle Sam that gets to the top of the biggest importers with 86, 5 million bottles. Demand is also strong in Far East where pass by about 60, 9 million bottles, which represents a 13, 5 % increase in volume and 12, 4 % in value.
