Dingle Gin, winner of the World Gin Awards in London
The Irish brand, Dingle Gin won first prize at the World Gin Awards in London. On this occasion, more than 400 gins from all over the world were blind tasted by industry experts. Subsequently, a list of the 20 best gins was drawn up. And the big winner is Dingle Original Gin, produced by The Co Kerry. “This is a moment of great pride for our independent and family gin,” said Elliot Hughes, partner at the company. “We launched the distillery in 2012 with the vision of creating the best artisanal spirits in the world. Winning this award proves that we have to do something right.”
Dingle Gin does not stop there, he also won the prize for the best dry gin in the world in the London Dry Gin category. The alcohol is produced in the famous Dingle Whiskey Distillery and designed by Liam LaHart, Oliver Hughes and Peter Mosley.
Ireland is a major producer of gin, with more than 50 brands produced by 20 producers in the country.
