France. During Hellfest the largest festival of extreme music beer consumption reaches record levels
The daily newspaper l’Hebdo reports that the figures issued by the largest festival of extreme music currently held in Clisson, France, the Hellfest, are 800,000 pints of beer, or 340,000 litres of beer consumed by the people who attended the festival over the weekend of 22-24 June.
In the 2017 edition, beer sales were 347,000 litres. However, this was not the only drink sold during the festival. In fact, muscadet, red and rosé wines were consumed for a total of 23,000 litres, compared to 15,000 consumed in 2017.
The festival is well attended by fans of the genre. For the 2018 edition, 3-day tickets (55,000) were sold in less than 30 hours after they were put on sale.
Don’t drink and drive. Enjoy responsibly.
