In Ireland, Lowden and the Bushmills distillery creates guitar from barrels

Guitar fans will find a novelty in this creation by the Lowden brand and the Bushmills distillery.

The Lowden guitar brand has created a new Lowden Black Bush Edition guitar, made from copper stills and wood from barrels used to distill Irish Bushmills whisky, which has been aged for hundreds of years.

This is not the first time that both brands are partnering for the creation of the instrument. In fact, a first edition came out in 2017. It should be noted that the Old Bushmills Distillery is the oldest distillery in the world authorized to operate.

Lowden’s master luthier, George Lowden, says that the wood from the Bushmills barrels is given to perfectly complement the other tone woods. They also used ebony wood from Mozambique and spruce from the Alps. The luthier collaborated with Bushmills master distiller Colum Egan.

For more technical details about the guitar you can do it directly in the guitar data sheet.
