In the Cathedral Notre-Dame d’Anvers you can taste beer…in its bar!
Unusual. In Notre-Dame d’Anvers Cathedral, in Antwerp, Belgium, it is possible to taste a beer…in its bar!
Yes, Notre-Dame d’Anvers, the Gothic cathedral completed in 1520 after 169 years of construction, and inscribed in the UNESCO heritage, has a bar. Here, they offer two types of beer called Aurora and Memento. One is blonde (Kathedral Blonde) and the other is stout (Kathedral Brune).
This bar is located in the old chapel of the Cathedral and welcomes tasters from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The bar is designed by Van Staeyen Interieur, which they proudly display on their website. Archilovers considered the cathedral as the best project for the year 2018.
The bar also offers coffee. A break while visiting the Cathedral should therefore be imposed!
