Reasons to read “Waste Today, Beer Tomorrow”, sustainable beer

To promote a sustainable future, Evil Twin Brewing in New York produces beer from reused citrus grains and peels.

Thanks to Waste360, Evil Twin Brewing and the non-profit organization Rethink Food NYC, we discovered the two characters’ project to contribute to the environment. Citrus Sour Pale Ale is the product of used grains and unused cocktail ingredients. NoMad Bar Manhattan is also involved in the project by providing citrus peel ingredients such as orange and lemon peel. This novelty, launched on April 12, will exist until its existence is exhausted.

Towards a sustainable future in the world of mixology

Beyond Evil Twin Brewing, there are initiatives such as Trash Tiki to contribute to sustainable development in the world of cocktails and mixology. Bartenders Iain Griffiths and Kelsey Ramage met while working at the former Dandelyan and created The Trash Collective. Since then, they have been organizing anti-waste pop-up experiments.
