Reyka vodka challenges UK bartenders in a contest
The Icelandic vodka brand, Reyka, is looking for the best bartenders in the UK, capable of creating the best cocktail based on Reyka vodka.
The Reyka Expedition competition cocktails will be tasted and selected by a group of judges and hosted by Fabiano Latham, brand ambassador. During the month of August Fabiano Latham will cycle the UK for a total of approximately 1300 kilometres, visiting 10 cities from Aberdeen (Scotland) to London.
The most interesting challenge of the competition is not only to create the “best cocktail” but also to represent Iceland in the flavours of the drink. A key ingredient in the preparation of cocktails is tomatoes, grown throughout the year in Iceland in a sustainable way.
Participants must go through an elimination round by sending their name, place of residence, the bar where they work, the ingredients of the cocktail and a photo of it to Reyka’s email address. The prize consists of a trip to Iceland and the winners will be selected in August.
