The Barra México returns

The fourth edition for the main festival of Latin America open its doors on June 10th.

Mexico City hosts on June 10th and 11th the event taking place at the Centro Citibanamex. The city, renowned for her gastronomy, grows continuously in the world of mixology, in fact the city holds three world-renowned bars: the Limantour (#14 on World’s 50 Best Bars), Fifty Mills and Hanky Panky.

Local bartenders whom will be joined by their fellows from all over Mexico and 40 other countries from Latin America, can also rely on a powerful lecture program. Among the heavy weight lecturers of worldwide cocktail specialty Jim Meehan (owner of the PDT), consultant Philip Duff, Remy Savage (new bar manager of the Artesian in London) and Ago Perrone (Connaught).

Furthermore, the main themes are sustainability, social accountability of bars as well as the future of distilled products business. In addition, gender concerns will also stand out during both days. Not to be forgotten, naturally, talks that will delve into specific product categories, such as Irish whiskey and vermouth.

Besides, the professionals will also be able to discover the innovations of the more than 135 exhibitors announced. At night, Mexico City’s bars will offer their best creations to visitors.
