The Highland Whisky Festival will be launched in May 2019

Eight distilleries have joined forces to introduce a new whisky festival in the Scottish Highlands. Thus the Highland Whisky Festival will take place from 10 to 17 May 2019 and will bring together the best distilleries in the region. The eight distilleries will organize an open house with exclusive events and tastings: Balblair, Clynelish, Glenmorangie, Old Pulteney, The Dalmore, The Singleton of Glen Ord, Tomatin and Wolfburn. They will welcome visitors from all over the world to present the centuries of traditions, processes and crafts of their home.

Festival coordinator Katie Waugh said: “Between the eight distilleries, we have more than 1000 years of know-how and experience in whisky production. What distinguishes Highland distilleries is that they are scattered along the northern coast 500. Their journey will be rewarded not only with world-class whiskies, but also with breathtaking scenery and the warm hospitality of the Highlands”.

Scotland recorded a record 1.9 million visits to distilleries and an expenditure of £60.9 million.

Don’t drink and drive. Enjoy responsibly.
