Jura whisky hotel and distillery: unique experience on the island of Raasay

The Scottish distillery Jura has a hotel at a distance of about… honestly nothing, steps away from the distillery. The attraction of the place located on the island of Raasay is just how isolated the island is, its quality whisky and beautiful unparalleled scenery.

Jura Single Malt Whisky is distilled in the distillery that dates back to 1810, remodeled in 1963, revived by the locality. It is the first legal distillery on the island. Its range includes whiskies with subtle smoky notes and a sweet finish in the finest barrels. Visitors to the distillery can stay at the Hotel Jura, where magnificent views of the island can be seen through the windows and where the wildlife is free.

The experience of a visit to the Jura distillery is unique in the sense that it is full of history and a whisky that represents a bit of its home on the island, its community and passion make it in each bottle. Each whisky is made from pure water from the Raasay mountains. So to imbue yourself with this culture of Jura whisky, 17 newly renovated rooms with sea views are available.
