Thames y Loyola cocktail by bartender Meli Manhattan
Thames y Loyola is a tasty cocktail flavoured with lavender, by Argentinian bartender Meli Manhattan. The cocktail is a mix of lemon juice, ginger syrup and whiskey that extends the range of flavours.
Meli Manhattan is bartender at Cantina bar La Favorita in Buenos Aires Argentina. Previously, Meli worked at various institutions such as El Quinto, or the Verne Club where she was Head bartender.
The bartender also hosts the Drink Me and Chicas Barra blogs, which deal with themes related to cocktails. Today, Meli is also promoting the website “How To Mix Drinks At Home”.
The Thames y Loyola cocktail
Ingredients
1 oz of pumpkin syrup
Monkey Shoulder whiskey 1 3/4 oz
1 oz of ginger syrup
Glass type:
Old fashioned glass
Garnish: lemon twist
Preparation
Mix all the ingredients and perfume with smoked lavender. Garnish with a lemon twist and serve in a whisky or old fashioned glass.
